Below is instrument information, description, history, etc:

Played and performed with two trombones
Performed & Played with this Bb Tenor Olds Standard Trombone from
1950-2023

Original 1950 Bb Tenor The Olds Standard Trombone
Purchased in 1950 by my parents from a music store in Chicago.
Made by F. E. Olds & Son, Los Angeles, Calif.
The Olds Standard trombone - Serial Number# 21059
Two different brass metals with different shades of brass colors were used in the manufacturing of the horn of the instrument. It produced a solid tone for sure. Note: The bell of the horn is a darker shade than the rest of the instrument.
The instrument had to be replaced in 2023 - because the metal to metal connection between the horn and the slide just wore out over many years of use.
Starting in 2023 - My current Trombone is a Professional Trombone - model 16 - Vincent Bach Stradivarius Tenor Trombone in Bb
An up to date procession engineered instrument. With modern day engineering and fine precision work. They manufacture a great instrument and beautiful piece of workmanship.
7-1/2" one-piece hand-hammered bell designed for excellent resonance and projection. The .459"/.509" dual bore handslide design provides balanced and agile response.
Made in USA - Elkhart, IN
Serial Number: 218240
Note: I use Bach trombone mouthpiece - Size 11C - (35011C)
NOTE: I use Trombone Slide Lubricant: Slide-O-Mix (Classic Set) Large & Small bottle. Occasionally I use with water mist spray. The air is dry here in Las Vegas.
Purchased in December 2023 from The Mighty Quinn Brass and Winds, with the guidance and help of Phil Lopez, Trombone instructor and music coach in Henderson, NV.
